Tuition & Fees

The following fee structure provides for a well-trained, caring and committted staff based on the number of children enrolled in the CEC. Fees are based on enrollment not attendance and are based on a 52-week schedule. Deductions may not be made for days children are scheduled to attend but do not attend

A deposit of $100.00 is required to guarantee placement. This deposit will be applied to your last week's tuition payment. It is non-refundable.

TUITION

Effective September 1, 2023 per the CEC Board of Directors:

Full Time (is currently considered Monday - Thursday - 4 days)

Infants and Toddlers                                                                                                    $250.00/week

Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten                                                                                     $205.00/week

Part-Time: three day minimum enrollment for part-time

Because there is no deduction for absences, part-time tuition is also a weekly tuition. Your rate will be calculated for you upon enrollment based on the current rates, as stated above, and the number of days per week you choose.

Examples: Currently, if you have an Infant or Toddler who will attend three days per week your weekly tuition would be $205.00  regardless of actual attendance and four days would be $250.00. (4 days is currently considered full time)

Currently, if you have a Preschool or Pre-Kindergarten child who attends three days per week your weekly tuition would be $195.00 regardless of actual attendance and four days would be $240.00. (4 days is currently considered full time)

Part-time placement is not always available. Part-time placement is a commitment to the days agreed upon (three days per week/minimum) and may not vary in number from week to week. If these days fall on a holiday or other days the CEC may need to close, tuition payment is still required. If you wish to add, change, or substitute days you must pay for the changes, plus pay for the days originally agreed upon. ALL changes in days must be approved in advance by the Director. Staff is unable to approve these changes. Please see your Parent Handbook for further clarification.

SPECIAL NOTE: At this time the CEC is accepting DHS clients. Parents receiving any financial aid (from LCC, MSU, State of Michigan, Great Start, etc.) are responsible for any and all charges not paid by the instituion. The CEC Director must be informed prior to enrollment if a financial aid program will be involved in payment. We accept these tuition payment arrangements only when the client pays their portion of the tuition balance at the beginning of each care week. The CEC will carry no balance beyond two weeks.
